a. Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of Moss Farms Diving Well & SW

 

Memorial Pool Renovation located in Moultrie, Georgia will be received at Moultrie-

Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority, 1020 4th St. SW Moultrie, GA 31768

 

at 2:00 pm on Tuesday , September 24, 2019 for a public opening for the furnishing of

labor, material and equipment entering the construction of Moss Farms Diving Well &

SW Memorial Pool Renovation which includes renovating the existing diving well and

providing a new 8 lane competition pool. The project also includes the addition of a

new splash pad which is to be completed in the same time frame.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 11am on site.

There will be a non-refundable fee of $125.00 for an Electronic pdf format and $250.00 for a hard copy

printed format for each set of documents obtained (payable to Architecture Unlimited, PLLC). Partial sets of

documents will not be issued.

Bids will be received under the Single-Prime bidding method only.

Bidders shall use complete sets of Bidding Documents in preparing bids; neither the Owner nor Owner’s

Representative assumes responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete

sets of Bidding Documents.

All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license as required under the state laws

governing their respective trades.

 

Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company,

insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%)

of the proposal, or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a

surety company licensed under the laws of Georgia to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond.

Said deposit shall be retained by the owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder

to execute the contract within ten days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law.

A performance bond and a payment bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract

price.

Payment will be made based on ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates and final payment made upon

completion and acceptance of work and submission of all closeout materials.

No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days.

The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
